I am a 78 year old man reminiscing about my childhood. I vaguely remember being a first grade student at St. Anthony Catholic School.
Since I was born in February 1945, that was likely when I was 6 years old in the 1951-1952 school year.
At that time as best I remember, the school was in a building across the street from the church. Among my whispery memories was sitting next to the nun/teacher learning to read about the adventures of “Dick and Jane”!
My next memory jumps to 2nd grade at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School a block away from the Georgia State Capitol building!
In both cases I traveled to/from school from my home in Forest Park Georgia on Atlanta Interurban Buses.
All other memories I have from that time are gradually getting too vague to recall. I would love to get copies of any photos you may have of the school—exterior and/or interior—to refresh my memories and pass on to my children and grandchildren.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
