Parish Mission. Guided and inspired by the Holy Spirit, we seek to be a beacon of hope in the wider community by sharing our unique cultural and spiritual experiences and by spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to all. As a Church Family, we strive collectively and individually to share the responsibility of continuing Jesus Christ’s mission to heal, reconcile, and serve.
We, a faith-filled and caring community of culturally diverse, predominantly African-American, families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church respond to the call for stewardship to build up God’s church and his people.
Founded in 1903, the parish is one of the oldest in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Our sanctuary dates to 1924. Our parish Pastor is Father Desmond Drummer. He is assisted in spiritual leadership by our two Permanent Deacons: Reverend Levi Jelks and Reverend Bill Simmons.
