Holy Week at Atlanta’s West End Catholic Church

Blessing of palms begins Holy Week.

Holy Week at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Atlanta, observes the final days of Jesus on earth.

Starting with the triumphant entry to Jerusalem with cries of Hosanna!, believers follow Jesus to the Last Supper where he institutes Holy Communion and shows his followers how to lead lives of service to others and then to the stark cross where he hangs on Good Friday.  Using fiery light to illuminate our darkened church, we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection into the world at the Easter Vigil and Easter.

We invite you to share this faith-filled journey with our Atlanta Catholic community.
